A dos semanas de haber declarado estado de alarma, el gobierno de España presentó dos herramientas digitales que tienen como fin combatir el Covid-19: una app para el autodiagnóstico del Covid-19 que ofrece al usuario información de acuerdo a la comunidad a la que pertenezca y el rastreo de móviles que registra el desplazamiento, de forma anónima, de los usuarios.
Madrid y Barcelona fueron las primeras ciudades de España que contaron con la aplicación para autodiagnosticar y atender emergencias relacionadas con el Covid-19. Ahora, el gobierno español ha puesto a disposición de otras comunidades del país ibérico una app similar, con el propósito de reducir la carga de llamadas a números que ya se encuentran rebasados por la situación de emergencia.
En el caso de Cataluña, la geolocalización de esta aplicación también sirve para trazar un mapa de pacientes con síntomas moderados y síntomas graves del Covid-19, sin poner en riesgo la privacidad de los infectados. Mientras que la Secretaría de Estado firmó un convenio con la compañía privada Telefónica para garantizar la protección de los datos utilizados en esta app.
Esta aplicación se encarga de geolocalizar al usuario con el fin de ofrecerle el protocolo que corresponde con la comunidad en la que radica. Entre las medidas que ofrece esta app en las distintas autonomías se encuentran: números telefónicos para recibir mayor información, se pide al paciente que no salga de casa o que se dirija a realizarse la prueba en lugares específicos, entre otras.
Rastreo del desplazamiento de usuarios
Además de la app, el gobierno español, a través del Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) y con apoyo de las compañías Telefónica, Vodafone y Orange, tiene planificado lanzar un proyecto que tiene como finalidad rastrear los recorridos de los usuarios desde que salen de sus hogares.
Este estudio realiza un trazo de los movimientos de los usuarios a través de antenas, descartándose de esta manera el uso de geolocalización, e integra la información, de manera anónima, de grupos de miles de personas, ofreciendo datos únicamente sobre la posición de los móviles.
